A focal point for members all summer long, the Club’s two swimming pools are open from Memorial Day until after Labor Day each year. The127,000 gallon main pool is used for swim team practice and children’s program swimming instruction on weekday mornings. The main pool and the Club’s separately enclosed, two-foot-deep wading pool are available for all members to enjoy from noon until just before sunset every day. One lane in the main pool is devoted exclusively to lap swimming, while families and children laugh with delight in the shallow end or take turns diving from the board in the 9’ deep end.
The Club’s pool deck, is perched high above the shoreline, allowing members to relax poolside and enjoy the spectacular harbor view and parade of pleasure boats passing by. Members can either “soak up the sun” or have it “made in the shade” under umbrellas and a large blue and white awning that completely protects a favorite section of the pool deck. Members are welcome to enjoy tasty beverages and frozen drinks from the snack bar or the main bar’s outside window while they unwind in the enclosed pool area.
The Club keeps three lifeguards on duty at all times that the pool is open, with one lifeguard’s attention devoted exclusively to small children in the wading pool. The Club’s lifeguards also give private swimming lessons when not on duty. Members are welcome to bring guests to the pool for a small daily fee.
